INDICATIONS
Sitalia M 500 XR (Sitagliptin& Metformin Hydrochloride )is indicated as an asjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 disabetes mellitus when treatment with both Sitagliptin and Metformation is appropriate.
Dosage AndAdminstration
Individualize the startin dose of Sitalia M 500 based on the patient’s current regimen .May adjust the dosing based on effectiveness and tolerability while not exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of 100 mg Sitagliptin and 2000mg Metformin.
Sitalia M 500 XR (Sitagliptin& Metformin Hydrochloride ) should be given once daily with a meal preferably in the evening.Gradually escalate the dose to reduce the gastrointestinal side effects due to Metformin.Maintain the same total daily dose of Sitagliptin and Metformin when changing between Sitalia M500 and Sitalia M 500 XR, without exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of 2000mg  Metformin extended-release.

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Pregnancy Category B. There are, however, no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. This drug should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed.
It is not known whether Sitagliptin is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Sitalia M 500 ( Sitagliptin& Metformin Hydrochloride )is administered to a nursing woman.

Sitalia M 500 XR tablet: Each box contains 3 x 4’s tablet in blister pack. Each extended release tablet contains Sitagliptin Phosphate Monohydrate INN equivalent to Sitagliptin 50 mg & Metformin Hydrochloride BP 500 mg.
